Opportunities to KNOW and GROW
Awana Clubs
Awana is a club for kids aged 3 - 6th grade. Focus is on memorizing scripture and having fun. It meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30 September - April (see calendar below).
The founders of Awana, Lance Latham and Art Rorheim, derived the Awana name from the first letters of the Bible verse found in 2 Timothy 2:15 - "Approved workmen are not ashamed". Begun in Chicago in 1941, today AWANA is found in more than 11,500 U.S. churches with programs in all 50 states. AWANA is also worldwide in more than 16,000 churches, schools and orphanages in 100 other countries. Immanuel Baptist has held AWANA for over 30 years.
