KNOW Jesus as Savior
There is One God.
He is our Creator. He designed us to have a relationship with Him.
He is Holy. Holy means set apart. He IS God.
We cannot have the relationship that we were created to have with our father God because of sin. The Bible says that ALL have sinned. We like to think we should be OK with God because we haven't done any big sins and we hope we've done enough good things to cancel those little sins out. But God rejects that thinking. All of us have sinned some way, some how, at some time. Like a supernatural peanut allergy, our sin taints us for God. Relationship broken. God is Holy and we are sinners; we are the ultimate dysfunctional family because of our sin.
Sin demands a payment. The Bible is clear that the payment for sin is death. God demands a blood sacrifice to pay for sin.
But God loves us and wants us to come to Him - to restore that relationship He wants with us.
So God sent his Son, Jesus, to serve as that sacrifice for our sins.
Jesus left Heaven to walk this earth for 33 years, giving his life on the cross.
But He didn't stay dead. Jesus not only paid for sins, He defeated death.
God wants all to come to him through his son, Jesus. There is no other way. Jesus said, "I am the Way, The Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through me."
