Mrs. Heather Williams has been playing piano for 17 years and has recently completed her Bachelors in Piano Performance from Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, IL. Currently, she is an adjunct professor at Olivet and also has her own private piano and violin studio. Not only does Heather work with piano and string students, but she also coaches the ONU orchestra strings and performs with the ONU orchestra in the viola section.
Heather joined the staff of Immanuel Baptist Church in September, 2006. She is responsible for accompanying the congregational singing, hymns and praise choruses, acompanying special music, various offertories, and accompanying the choir on a weekly basis.
A member of Immanuel Baptist Church since 1981, Marcia Brandt is a professional Library Media Specialist for the Herscher School District and Adjunct Professor at Olivet Nazarene University. She and her husband, Jamey, have two (almost) grown daughters and a Boston Terrier named Samson. God, family (including the dog!), books and music are her priorities in life.
Marcia was raised in a country church where it was unofficially required to sing harmony by ear. She has been singing in an adult church choir since age 8. (It was a really small church -- they took anyone!) With official musical training limited to a super-excellent high school choir experience, high school band, and obligatory childhood piano lessons, Marcia relies on years of choir experience to wing it as Director. Love of Christian music and love of the Lord apparently go a long way because our choir makes a joyful noise and has a good time together. Please come join us... or at least smile at us from your pew as we sing!
